Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Thought the nail could be plugged but they explained why it couldn’t and the safety concerns. They then found a tire in my price range and fit me for install. It was safe, courteous, and quick. I’m a happy customer as usual. Good place with good service and people. Thank you very much

I gave a 4 star because after weeks of searching the internet for the specific tires I was looking for just for my Subaru Ascent at a reasonable price Monro Auto popped up with a great price! I got the quote and then about less then 10 min. I received a call from an Altoona number which came up unknown, ( I never answer them) so It was Lisa from Monro, she asked which tires I wanted? In which I was confused a bit because I would assume she would be able to see but she explained she was only seeing a part # so I gave her all the info again and that I wanted an alignment, she then gave me a completely different total and I almost cancelled the transaction but then asked if that was with the special $100 discount and she apologized because it did not take that off. So the next day I showed up for my appt in which she said I was early and yes I was because the text I received to confirm was for the original time so I wasn’t sure if it got changed so I did not want to miss my appt. So I went at that time, she said they were running behind and as they would be due to it was only her and one service tech? She then proceeded to tell me they could not do the alignment for my car because i

I cannot say enough good things about Monroe Tires! I came in with a screw in my tire and expected a stressful experience, but the team made everything easy. From the moment I arrived, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and professional. They fixed the problem quickly, explained everything clearly, and had me back on the road in no time. The service was fast, the pricing was fair, and the staff treated me with kindness and respect. It's refreshing to find a business that truly cares about its customers. I highly recommend Monroe Tires to anyone looking for quality work, fair prices, and outstanding customer service. Thank you to the entire team for turning a frustrating situation into such a positive experience!

I’ve had several positive experiences at this Monro location over the years, especially when needing something handled quickly. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was NOT one of those experiences. I brought my Ford Edge in specifically for diagnosis of a front-end/driveline type noise that strongly pointed toward a wheel bearing or hub issue. I explained the symptoms in detail, including how the noise changed under load & while turning right and nearly disappeared turning left. My RO clearly states "possible wheel bearing" as the customer issue. A few hours later Lisa(?) called and told me that they checked out the car and it was NOT a wheel bearing issue, but that my 'rotors were warped and brake pads were near discard level'. I was sold all four corners and a brake fluid flush because 'the fluid was old and dirty', despite being flushed in January 2026 at Ford. After the repair, the exact original symptoms were completely 100% unchanged. The noise I described when I arrived was still immediately present when I drove away, despite being the repair being presented as complete and being told that it wasn't the wheel bearing at all. That honestly left me questioning whether th

My daughter went for a brake inspection. She is a young girl 3 hours from home and this is her first car. She was told her rotors would have to be replaced. Thank god I was on the phone and headed this lady tell her the replacement for rotors only in the rear were $560. Not including pads or anything. That the parts alone were $196/each. I told my daughter never mind. I got the parts including pads for $150 and she brought it to someone that was reasonably priced to have them installed. Her rotors were gone in the rear. She. She got to the shop the gentleman made her aware that not only were all the lug nuts on her rear tires lose she was missing. One. These people after trying to price gauge her couldn’t even put her tire back on. Correctly and risked her life the second she got in her car and pulled away. I wouldn’t deal with them if they were the last mechanical around. I know nothing about cars but I would trust my work and you tube videos before I would ever pull a car in that shop. If you love you child and you life. Don’t go there. Because they could care less about anything but the dollar
